Terms of Use / Conditions of Use

1. The minimum purchase is $100 (10 pixel x 10 pixel area) = (1 block) = (100 square pixels).
2. The maximum purchase can be as much as is available.
3. When you 'buy' our pixels you will not 'own' any part of the homepage or this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link which will then be published on the homepage in the respective space you have paid for.
4. When you 'buy' our pixels your right to advertise is for a 1 year period from the date of purchase. After the first year you may renew your advertising space, or it will become publicly available for sale.
5. When you 'buy' our pixels you will not 'own' any part of the homepage or this site, and if you are trying to sell your previously paid for ad space on bellefield.net on ebay, or another auction or sale website, your ad space will be subject to resale, and your original advertising rights on bellefield.net will be revoked.
6. You CANNOT change your image or link once submitted. So be absolutely sure of the image and the corresponding link before you upload it.
   Exceptions will be made only on the following grounds:
   Your site no longer exists,
   Major structural change to your site,
   Lawsuits, etc.
7. If your image and/or link is approved and published on the site, no refund will be issued.
8. The site will be online indefinitely (starting from the day it launched 1/21/06).
9. Upon reasonable consideration, all images and links deemed to be obscene, adult and offensive are prohibited from participation. Rejected images and links can be corrected, or altered, or you can submit an alternate image and link that conforms with the decency standards we have set, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your space.
10. If your link is approved and the content of the linked site is later altered to show offensive, obscene, adult, etc, materials, the link will be removed until a more decent link is submitted. Also you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime.
11. In the future if you want your image and link removed from the site, it can be done. You will not get a refund and the space on the site will become publicly available for sale again.
12. For display on the site, the images must be the exact size you have paid for measured in pixels (eg. 1 block = 100 pixels = 10 pixel x 10 pixel area).
13. Accepted Image file format: GIF or JPEG (please keep file size reasonable).
14. Images are NOT to be animated.
15. All links must be to web pages or e-mail address and begin with 'http://' or 'mailto:'.
16. You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit.
17. Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your image goes live on the homepage.
18. Unanticipated maintenance (which will be kept to a minimum) might lead to occasional downtime on the site.
19. All orders are processed automatically as soon as I receive confirmation from the payment processor of your payment. Generally your image and link will be posted within a few minutes or hours.
20. Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in our PayPal), we will get your pixels online within 24-48hrs (but please have patience).
21. For the time being we are only accepting PayPal for payment.

PayPal

PayPal is ideal for purchasing all amounts of ad space. Since the ad space is sold in $100 blocks, please make sure that you select the correct number of blocks when ordering.
Before you have paid for your pixel ad and uploaded your pixel ad image in the appropriate pixel size, please remember the following:

1. Your image as a GIF or JPEG (must be the correct size for the pixels purchased)
2. Your link URL, and your display text (must adhere to our decency standards)

Current estimated time from ordering your pixels to going live on the site: 24 - 48 hours (please allow up to 72hrs).
